GAUGE

In Dot Stitch, 18 sts and 24 rows = 4"/10cm

In Seed Stitch, 18 sts and 24 rows = 4"/10cm

 

STITCHES USED

Dot Stitch: (multiple of 10 sts + 13)

Rows 1, 3, 7, and 9 (RS): Knit.

Row 2 and all WS Rows: K1, purl to last st, k1.

Row 5: K11, *p1, k9; rep from * to last 2 sts, k2.

Row 11: K6, *p1, k9; rep from * to last 7 sts, p1, k6. 

Row 12: Rep Row 2.

Rep Rows 1-12 for Dot Stitch.

Seed Stitch: (odd number of sts)
All Rows: K1, *p1, k1; rep from * to end.

 

BACK

CO 73 (83, 93, 103, 113, 123) sts. Work in Seed st for 10 rows.

Next Row (RS): Change to Dot Stitch; work even until piece measures 13 /2 (13, 13 1/2, 13, 13 1/2, 13)" from the beg, ending with Row 2, 6, 8, or 12 of pattern.

Eyelet Row (RS): K3, *yo, k2tog, k3; rep from * to end.

Next Row: Cont in Dot Stitch, work even until piece measures 22 (22, 23, 23, 24, 24)" from beg, ending with a WS row.

Next Row (RS): Work 10 (15, 20, 25, 30, 35) sts in Dot Stitch, pm, work Seed st to last 10 (15, 20, 25, 30, 35) sts, pm, work in Dot Stitch to end. Working in patterns as est, work even for 5 rows. BO all sts in pattern.

 

FRONT

Work as for Back until piece measures 16 1/2 (16, 16 1/2, 16, 16 1/2, 16)" from beg, ending with a WS row.

Shape Neck (RS): Work in Dot Stitch for 33 (38, 43, 48, 53, 58) sts, k1, p1, k2tog, join a second ball of yarn, k1, p1, k1, work in Dot Stitch to end—36 (41, 46, 51, 56, 61) sts each side. Working both sides at the same time, and working 3 sts at each neck edge in Seed st as est, work even until piece measures 22 (22, 23, 23, 24, 24)" from beg, ending with a WS row.

Next Row (RS): On left neck edge, work 10 (15, 20, 25, 30, 35) sts in Dot Stitch, work in Seed st to end; on right neck edge, work in Seed st to last 10 (15, 20, 25, 30, 35) sts, work in Dot Stitch to end. Working in patterns as est, work even for 5 rows. BO all sts in pattern.

 

FINISHING
Block pieces to measurements. Sew shoulder seams for 3 (4, 5, 6 1/4, 7 1/4, 8 1/2)", leaving center 10 1/2" for neck. Sew side seams, leaving last 6 1/2 (7, 7 1/2, 8, 8 1/2, 9)" open for armhole.

 

Twisted Cord Tie
Cut two strands of yarn 15' long. Tie strands together at each end. Attach one end to a hook or door knob and insert a needle through the other end. Turn the needle until you have a tight coil. Hold the center of the twisted strands and bring the two ends together, allowing Tie to twist up on itself. Tie the ends together and trim excess. Beg and ending at center Front, thread Tie through Eyelet Row.
