GAUGE

In Stockinette stitch, 18 sts and 22 rows = 4"/10 cm

In Lace Pattern, 18 sts and 22 rows = 4”/10 cm

 

STITCHES USED

Lace Pattern A (multiple of 10 sts + 1)

Rows 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 (RS): *K 3, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, k2tog through back loops, k2; repeat from *, end k1.

Rows 2, 4, 6, 8, 10: Purl.

Row 12: Knit.

Rows 13, 15, 17, 19, 21 and 23: K5, *k3, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, k2tog through back loops, k2; repeat from * end k6.

Rows 14, 16, 18, 20 and 22: Purl.

Row 24: Knit.

Rows 25-36: Repeat Rows 1-12.

Rows 37 and 38: Repeat Rows 13 -14.

Repeat Rows 37 and 38 for remainder of lace pattern.

Cast on 91 (101, 111, 121) sts. Work in Lace Pattern A until piece measures 12 (14, 16, 16)" from beginning, end with a WS row.

Shape Armholes 

Bind off 5 sts at beginning of next 2 rows -- 81 (91, 101, 111) sts.

Dec 1 st each side every other row 3 (6, 8, 10) times -- 75 (79, 85, 91) sts. Work until piece measures 14 (16, 18, 18)” from beginning, ending with a WS row. Change to St st and continue until armhole measures 8 (9, 10, 11)”. Bind off loosely.

 

LEFT FRONT

Cast on 41 (46, 51, 56) sts.

Work in Lace Pattern A (B, A, B) until piece measures 2 (3, 4, 4)”, ending with a WS row.

Shape Neck

Continue in lace pattern, dec 1 st at neck edge on next row, then every 6th row 12 (12, 13, 14) times more; at the same time, when piece measures 12 (14, 16, 16)" from beginning, shape armhole same as Back – 20 (22, 24, 26) sts. Continue until piece measures 14 (16, 18, 18)” from beginning, ending with a WS row. Change to St st and continue until armhole measures 8 (9, 10, 11)”. Bind off loosely.

 

RIGHT FRONT

Work as for left Front, reversing all shaping;

 

SLEEVES

Cast on 61(71, 71, 81) sts. Work in Lace Pattern A until piece measures 13 (14, 16, 16)" from beginning, end with WS row. Change to St st.

Shape Cap

Bind off 5 sts at beginning of next 2 rows -- 51(61, 61, 71) sts.

Dec 1 st each side every other row 15 (18, 18, 21) times, ending with a RS row -- 21 (25, 25, 29) sts.

(WS) P3tog across row, end p0 (1, 1, 2).

BO remaining 7 (9, 9, 11) sts.

 

FINISHING

Sew shoulder seams. Set in sleeves; sew sleeve and side seams.

Neckband

With RS facing, pick up and knit 85 (91, 95, 101) up right front, 35 (35, 37, 39) sts across back neck edge, 84 (90, 96, 100) sts down left front – 204 (216, 228, 240) sts.

Rows 1, 3, 7, 9, 11 and 13 (WS): Purl

Row 2 and 8: K1, *k2tog, yo* rep from * end k1.

Row 5 and 11: P1, *p2tog, yo* rep from * end p1.

Row 4, 6, 10 and 12: Knit

Row 14: Bind off all sts loosely.

 Using yarn needle, weave in ends.
