GAUGE

In Lace st (blocked), 16 sts and 16 rows = 4”/10 cm

 

STITCHES USED

Lace stitch (multiple of 4 sts)

Row 1 (WS): Purl.

Row 2 (RS): *K3tog, (k1, yo, k1) all in next st; repeat from * across.

Row 3: Purl.

Row 4: Knit.

Repeat Rows 1-4 for Lace st.

NOTES

The Lace stitch pattern has a bias to one side.  A good wet blocking before pin and dry will straighten out the bias.

Cast on 256 sts.

Row 1 and all odd numbered (WS) rows: Purl.

Row 2 (RS): *K3tog, (k1, yo, k1) in same st; repeat from * across.
