KNITTED MEASUREMENTS

Small: 22" x 27"/56 x 68.5 cm

Large: 27" x 36"/68.5 cm x 91.5 cm

 

GAUGE

In Stockinette stitch, 22 sts and 26 rows = 4"/10 cm

 

STITCHES USED

Stockinette stitch (St st)

Fair Isle method

Single crochet (sc)

Slip stitch (slip st)

Reverse single crochet (reverse sc)

 

BLANKET

Using size 7 needles and MC, cast on 120 (168) sts.

Work in St st until piece measures 1 1/2", end with a WS row.

Row 1 (RS): Following Row 1 of chart, work Fair Isle pattern across row.

Rows 2-20: Continuing in St st and following chart, work Fair Isle pattern across row.

Rows 21-38: Following chart, work Rows 18 back through Row 1.

With MC, continue in St st for 2 1/2", end with a WS row.

Fair Isle band and solid color band patterns are established in previous rows. Repeat Fair Isle band and solid color band one (two) more time(s). Work Fair Isle Band once more.

With MC, continue in St st for 1 1/2", end with a WS row.

Bind off.

 

FINISHING

Edging

With crochet hook, join MC with sl st in any st on outer edge of Blanket.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc evenly spaced around edge, join with slip st in first sc.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join with slip st in first sc.

Rnd 3: Working from left to right, ch 1, reverse sc in each st around, join with slip st in first st. Fasten off.

Using yarn needle, weave in ends.
