One circular size 6 (4mm), 36"/91.5cm long needle or size to obtain gauge.

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS:

Approximately 26"/56cm high x 62"/173cm wide

 

GAUGE

In pattern, 20 sts and 24 rows = 4"/10cm.


SPECIAL STITCHES

Chain Loop: K1 (counts as first chain), *insert the left needle through front of the stitch on the right needle, yarn over the right needle, pull yarn through the stitch on the right needle, drop the stitch off the left needle; repeat from * 4 times more = 6 chains made.
ssk: [Sl 1 knitwise] twice, insert left needle into the slipped sts and knit tog.
k2tog: Knit 2 sts together—1 st decreased.

sk2p: Sl 1 knitwise, k2tog, pass slip st over k2tog—2 sts decreased.

 

NOTE

Shawl is worked back and forth on circular needle.

Hint: Use chart as a guide.

BO Chain Loop Edging

Work Chain Loop in first st, *BO next 4 sts, work Chain Loop in next st; rep from * across until all sts bound off. Fasten off.

 

FINISHING

Using yarn needle, weave in ends.
