Change to Hourglass Eyelet St; work even until piece measures 19 1/2 (19, 19, 18 1/2, 18 1/2, 18)" from beginning, end with a WS row.

Shape Armholes

(RS) BO 3 (6, 9, 12, 12, 15) sts at beginning of next 2 rows—97 (103, 109, 115, 127, 133) sts. 

(RS) Work Dec Row to dec 1 st each side every other row 33 (36, 36, 39, 42, 45) times— 31 (31, 37, 37, 43, 43) sts. Place rem sts on holder for Back neck.

FRONT

Work as for Back to armholes.

Shape Armholes

(RS) BO 3 (6, 9, 12, 12, 15) sts at beginning of next 2 rows—97 (103, 109, 115, 127, 133) sts.

(RS) Work Dec Row to dec 1 st each side every other row 21 (24, 24, 27, 30, 33) times, end with a WS row —55 (55, 61, 61, 67, 67) sts. Armhole measures 5 1/2 (6 1/4, 61/4, 7, 8, 8 3/4)" from beginning of shaping. Place marker (pm) each side of center 19 (19, 25, 25, 31, 31) sts.

Shape Neck

(RS) Continuing armhole shaping, work across to marker; place center 19 (19, 25, 25, 31, 31) sts on holder, join a second ball of yarn and work to end. Working both sides at same time, dec 1 st at each neck edge every other row 6 times; AT THE SAME TIME,. continue armhole shaping until 3 sts remain each side of neck, ending with WS row.

(RS) K1, ssk first shoulder;.k2tog, k1 second shoulder.

(WS) P2 first shoulder;.p2 second shoulder.

(RS) Ssk first shoulder;.k2tog second shoulder.

Fasten off last st each side.

 

SLEEVES

CO 61 (67, 67, 73, 79, 85) sts.

(WS) Begin Rib; work even until piece measures 2" from beginning, end with WS row. Change to Hourglass Eyelet St; work even for 6 (6, 6, 4, 4, 2) rows, end with a WS row.

Shape Sleeve

Inc 1 st each side this row, every 2 rows 0 (0, 0, 1, 2, 3) times, every 4 rows 0 (3, 10, 16, 15, 17) times, every 6 rows 3 (8, 4, 0, 0, 0) times, then every 8 rows 5 (0, 0, 0, 0, 0) times--79 (91, 97, 109, 115, 127) sts.

Work even until piece measures 12 (12, 12 1/2, 12 1/2, 13, 13)" from the beginning, end with a WS row.

Shape Cap 

(RS) BO 3 (6, 9, 12, 12, 15) sts at beginning of next 2 rows—73 (79, 79, 85, 91, 97) sts.

(RS) Work Dec Row to Dec 1 st each side every other row 33 (36, 36, 39, 42, 45)) times—7 sts. Place remaining sts on holder.

 

FINISHING

Block pieces to measurements.  Sew raglan seams; sew sleeve and side seams.

Collar: With WS facing, using smaller circular needles, beginning with first st from Back neck holder, pick up and k90 (90, 102, 102, 114, 114) sts around neck edge including sts on holders.  Place marker at beg of round.

Rnd 1: P2, *k1, p1, k1, p3, rep from * around, end (k1, p1) twice.

Rnd 2: K3, *p1, k5, rep from * around, end p1, k2.

Rep last 2 rnds until piece measures 2" from pick up row. Change to larger circular needle. Work even until piece measures 4" from pick up row, ending with pattern rnd 1.

First Inc Rnd: Knit in front and back of first st to inc,*k2, p1, k2, inc in next st, rep from * around, end k2, p1, k2---105 (105, 119, 119, 133, 133) sts.

Rnd 1: P3, *k1, p1, k1, p4, rep from * around, end (k1, p1) twice.

Rnd 2: K4, *p1, k6, rep from * around, end, p1, k2.

Rep last 2 rows once more.  Rep rnd 1.

Second Inc Rnd:: Knit in front and back of first st, *k3, p1, k2, inc in next st, rep from * around, end k3, p1, k2---120 (120, 136, 136, 152, 152) sts.

Rnd 1: P4, *k1, p1, k1, p5, rep from * around, end (k1, p1) twice.

Rnd 2:  K5, *p1, k7, rep from * around, end p1, k2.

Rep last 2 rnds until piece measures 8" ending with rnd 1.

Bind off all sts in pattern.
