FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Approximately 18 1/2" wide x 64" (162.5 cm) long

GAUGE
In Stockinette st, 18 sts and 22 rows = 4"/10cm; Gauge is not critical for this project.


ABBREVIATION

C6F: Slip 3 sts to cn, hold to front, k3, k3 sts from cn.

 

STITCHES USED

Garter stitch: Knit sts every row;
Stockinette stitch (St st):
Knit on RS; purl on WS.


NOTES

1. The wrap is worked back and forth in rows on circular needle to accommodate large number of sts.

2. Keep first and last 5 sts in Garter st throughout as edge sts.

3. Place markers (pm) between repeats, if desired; slip markers as you come to them.  

 

WRAP
CO 84 sts. (RS) Knit 1 row. (WS) K5 (edge sts), purl across to the last 5 sts, k5 (edge sts).

Rows 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 (RS): K19, pm; * p2, k12, p2 (cable panel), k14, pm; rep from * across to last 5 sts, k5. Row 2 and all WS rows: K5, knit the knit sts and purl the purl sts as they face you across to last 5 sts, k5.
Row 11: K19, * p2, C6F, k6, p2, k14; rep from * across to last 5 sts, k5.
Rows 13, 15, 17, 19 and 21:
RepeatRow 1.
Row 23:
K19, * p2, k6, C6F, p2, k14; rep from * across to last 5 sts, k5.
Row 24:
Repeat Row 2. Repeat Rows 1 – 24 for patt until piece meas 13" from beg, end WS row.
(RS)
Buttonhole: K1, BO 2 sts for buttonhole, work to end in patt.
(WS)
Work across in patt, CO 2 sts over BO sts. Cont in patt until piece meas 64" from beg, end WS row. BO all sts in patt.


FINISHING

Using yarn needle, weave in ends; sew button opposite buttonhole. Block to measurements.
