(75% micro denier acrylic/25% bamboo; 3 oz/85 g, 251 yds/230 m skein):
Colors #0003 Soft Sunshine (A), 6 oz/170 gr; Color #0005 Ocean Spray (B), 6 oz/170 gr; Color #0001 Rose Bisque (C), 6 oz/170 gr

One pair US size 5 (3.75mm) circular needle 36” long, or size to obtain gauge

 

 

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS

Blanket 24” x 36”

 

GAUGE

In pattern stitch, 29 sts and 44 rows = 4”/10 cm

STITCHES USED

Garter stitch (Garter st)

 

NOTES

Blanket is worked back and forth on circular needle.

On right side rows, always slip stitches as if to purl with yarn in back; on wrong side rows, always slip stitches as if to knit with yarn in front.

To avoid many loose ends, when changing colors, carry yarn along edge of blanket as you knit instead of cutting yarn at color changes.

 

BLANKET

With A, cast on 172 sts.

Knit 7 rows for Garter st border.

Establish pattern

Change to B.

Row 1 (RS): K4, *sl 2, k4; repeat from * to end.

Row 2 (WS): K1, p3, *sl 2, p4; repeat from * to last 6 sts, sl 2, p 3, k1.

Rows 3 and 4: Repeat Rows 1 and 2.

Change to A.

Rows 5 and 6: Knit.

Change to C.

Row 7: K1, *sl 2, k4, repeat from * to last 3 sts, sl 2, k1.

Row 8: K1, *sl 2, p4, repeat from * to last 3 sts, sl 2, k1.

Rows 9 and 10: Repeat Rows 7 and 8.

Change to A.

Rows 11 and 12: Knit 2 rows.

Repeat Rows 1-12 until blanket measures approximately 35”, ending with pattern Row 4 or Row 10.

With A, knit 7 rows for Garter st border. Bind off.

 

FINISHING

With RS facing and A, pick up and k sts at purl nubs along one outside edge. Bind off all sts. Repeat along other outside edge.

Using yarn needle, weave in all ends.
