(75% Microdenier Acrylic/25% Merino Wool; 3 oz/85g, 185yds/169m skein):
Shown in: #0006 Berry Frappe (MC) and #0008 Silver Service (CC), 3oz/85g each

One pair size U.S. 7 (4.5 mm) needles or size to obtain gauge

61(74) size 6/0 seed beads

Sewing needle

Yarn needle

KNITTED MEASUREMENTS

Upper wristlet circumference 8 (9 ½)”/20.5 (24)cm

 

GAUGE 

In Stockinette stitch, 20 sts and 28 rows = 4”/10cm

 

NOTES

Due to the ripple pattern stitch, gauge is measured over Stockinette stitch.

To make threading seed beads onto yarn easier, thread a sewing needle with a short piece of thread (approximately 8” long).  Tie this thread into a loop and then put end of knitting yarn into this loop. Pick up beads onto needle, slide them onto the thread loop, and then onto the knitting yarn.

Wristlets are knitted flat and then seamed.

To avoid having excessive ends to weave in, do not cut MC after joining it but carry it loosely along the side of the knitting when knitting with CC.

 

WRISTLET (make 2):

Thread 13(16) beads onto CC.

Co 42 (52) sts.

Rows 1-3: Knit.

Row 4: *K3, slide a bead next to right hand needle; rep from * to end of row, ending last rep k3 (4).

Cut CC. Attach MC.

Row 5: With MC, k1, inc 1 st in next st, k2, *ssk, k2tog, k2, inc in each of next 2 sts, k2; rep from * to last 8 sts, ssk, k2tog, k2, inc 1 st in next st, k1.

Row 6: With MC, purl all sts.

Rows 7-16: Rep Rows 5 and 6, 5 times more.

Thread 13 (16) beads onto CC.

Attach CC.

Rows 17–19: With CC, knit.

Row 20: With CC, rep row 4.

Cut CC.

Rows 21–36: Rep rows 5–20.

Row 37: With MC, k1, inc 1 st in next st, k2tog, *ssk, (k2 tog) 2 times, inc 1 st in each of next 2 sts, k2tog; rep from * last 8 sts, ssk, (k2 tog) 2 times, inc 1 st in next st, k1—34 (42) sts.

Rows 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48: With MC, purl all sts.

Rows 39, 41, 43, 45, 47: With MC, k1, inc 1 st in next st, k1, *ssk, k2 tog, k1, inc 1 st in each of next 2 sts, k1; rep from * last 7 sts, ssk, k2 tog, k1, inc in next st, k1.

Thread 11(13) beads onto CC.

Attach CC.

Rows 49–51: Knit.

Row 52: K2 (3), *slide a bead next to right hand needle, k3; rep from * to end of row, ending last rep k2 (3).

Rows 53, 55, 57, 59, 61, 63: Rep Row 39.

Rows 54, 56, 58, 60, 62, 64: With MC, purl all sts.

Rows 65–68: Rep Rows 49–52.

Row 69: With CC, rep Row 39.

Row 70: With CC, BO all sts in knit.

 

FINISHING

Block wristlets if needed.

Sew seams. Using yarn needle, weave in loose ends.
